Hytale Early Access is Finally Here: Everything You Need to Know
After years of anticipation, development restarts, and community excitement, Hytale is officially live in Early Access as of January 13, 2026!
The gates to Orbis are open, and millions of players are already flooding into the procedurally generated worlds of Hytale. Whether you’re an adventurer, a builder, or a creator, this marks the beginning of a new era in sandbox gaming.
What is Available Now?
As stated by Hypixel Studios, the game is in a “true” Early Access state. This means:
- The Engine is Ready: The new custom engine is performing well, supporting massive view distances and dynamic lighting.
- A World to Explore: Orbis is vast, with diverse biomes like the Emerald Grove and Howling Sands ready for exploration.
- Core Mechanics: Combat, crafting, and building are fully functional.

Performance & Server Status
With over 2.8 million concurrent players reported on day one, servers have taken a massive hit. You might experience queues when logging in via the Hytale Launcher.
The team has already deployed the first hotfix to address authentication issues and server stability.

Hytale is available exclusively on PC through the Hytale Launcher. It is not currently available on Steam or Epic Games Store.
